I finished Robin Hobb's Assasin's Apprentice a few days ago. I thought the ending was rather disappointingly done, it seemed just way too rushed. (And I though Anne Rice endings were bad for that...) Good book, though.

Currently working my way through Isaac Asimov's Foundation. I'm finding it to be surprisingly Orwellian, so far.

Putting my books down for a little while, I found myself playing around with my sharpies. Here's a couple pictures that I liked. (let me know to cut if necessary)

Hmmm, Robin Hobb definitely does have problems with the pacing of her books, particularly the endings. The rest of that series is well worth reading though. Get ye a copy of Royal Assassin now. :)

Actually those drawings are pretty good. I've never really gotten that good at drawing myself but there seem to be a number of artists floating around the crowds I hang out with periodically.

hey,

I wandered in from your comment on 'women is science' because, firstly I found you very eloquent and secondly I echoed your disappointment at the lack of overlap between such a community and feminist identity.

So, Hi - great sketches.

btw Robin Hobb's books get better with each series - the Fool triology is worth reading -much better endings -, although it helps to have read the rest of the assasian series first as it develops the characters from there further.
